Jerry Maguire is a Tom Criuse and Renee Zellweger film about the role of Service in partnership and committed relationships, as well as its vices of Reclusiveness ("checking out of the relationship") and Martyrdom, or "letting yourself get used." You can see ample information about it below. It is available for a small fee on the web.
A good film example of the virtue of Service is the Renee Zellweger character in Jerry Maguire. In this film, the Magician character of Jerry, played by Tom Cruise, actually causes the supportive, Renee Zellweger character and love interest to demonstrate how impossibly crucial she is to the success of the couple, and the man, himself. She must move from more of a vice position of Martyrdom that she is at risk for in being tied to such a burdened (and burdensome) man, to more Reclusiveness, in response to his lack of appreciation. The act of Service of the partners in a couple is the beating heart of Compromise in a relationship, and perhaps more than any other virtue, the durability of the entire relationship, itself, hinges on Service as a virtue.

Jerry Maguire
- -Jerry Maguire used to be a typical sports agent—willing to do just about anything he could to get the biggest possible contracts for his clients, plus a nice commission for himself. Then, one day, he suddenly has second thoughts about what he's really doing. When he voices these doubts, he ends up losing his job and all of his clients—an egomaniacal football player.
