Marriage Story is a Scarlett Johannson and Adam Driver film about the sources of Authority in partnership and love relationships, as well as its vices of Tyranny and Abdication, or "throwing in the towel." You can see ample information about it below. It is available for a small fee on the web.
A good film example of both Tyranny and Abdication might be seen in the Adam Driver and Scarlett Johannson characters of the film, Marriage Story. At times, the husband character to the young son, becomes fiery and indignant, hurling Tyrannical insults and demands at Johannson's wife character. Sometimes the wife just leaves behind former Responsibilities to the father of her son (impairing the solidity of that relationship) and Abdicates any Responsibility for his function in support of the son, his career, and credit for helping hers early on. At other times, under the force of her powerful attorney, Johannson becomes the Tyrant, absconding with their son to Los Angeles, because her mother is there and she has career opportunity, while Driver Abdicates his Authority over the operations of what once was, in his words, "a New York family."
