A temperament of personality in a male, in which one is "left-brained" (analytical) and nurturing, emotionally, or maternal in nature, regardless of gender.
This is one of the four kinds of temperament of personalitydescribed in the Social Personality System, and it is the opposite of a Magiciantemperament, which would be the ideal match for it in friendship, romance, and any kind of partnership.
Kings tend to feel most fulfilled when they lend their expertise to others, giving opinions, leadership through ideas as opposed to action, and just like a regent from medieval times, take joy through caring for the welfare of their "kingdom," making laws and dispensing wisdom.
This personality style, composed of left-brained intellectual ability and well-being as a dominant type of self esteem, makes them especially gifted at tasks that require intellectual firepower and wisdom.
In fact, while the personalities have a place in the Triune Brain map of the mind, in the mammalian and higher brain, there is a way they play out into the fully conscious mind of the higher brain in terms of one's character makeup.
For example, we learn in the Intellectual Attraction Phase of courtship how people can find Character Compatibility in terms of their best virtues. Those of the King or Queen personality style are especially adept at four of the sixteen, Cardinal Virtues.
In the case of a King or Queen:
MASTER VIRTUES OF KINGS/QUEENS:
- Scholarliness
- Influence
- Justice/Fairness
- Equanimity
If you find that your opposite sex parent has one of these four virtues, it is likely also attractive to you in terms of seeing yourself possibly getting into a committed relationship with such a person, and that person, if they are a King or Queen, and you are a Magician, this is likely to cause a durable romantic connection between you two.
