Theseus was one of the founders of Athens, and the demigod who slew the Minotaur in the maze. Loved by the daughter of his enemy, King Minos, it was she who used a slender, golden thread, and saved him from being lost, forever in the maze, even if he did manage to kill the Minotaur.
